When eminent biologist and author Lewis Thomas was asked what message he would choose to send from Earth into outer space in the Voyager spacecraft, he answered, "I would send the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach." After a pause, he added, "But that would be boasting."
Open Doors to the Festival!
Since the program's conception in 2005 our mission has been to introduce Baroque music and the enjoyment of the concert experience to under privileged individuals. The program allows organizations like CASA of Monterey County, care facilities, church groups, rotary clubs, and summer school programs in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties to have free access to Main Concerts and Recitals.

The program and all coordinators operate with the knowledge that this might be the first concert or performance for many of the individuals. Program coordinators give counselors and chaperones something to present before the concert and act as a wonderful liaison for the number of community based organizations that we have participating.
