Festival Soloists: Roger Cole
Principal Oboe – Vancouver, Canada

Yale University; Julliard School.  Roger is Principal Oboe of the Vancouver Symphony and the CBC Radio Orchestra and is also Music Director and Senior Orchestra Conductor of the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra.  Past festivals include Aspen, Tanglewood, Marlboro, Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.

He is on the Faculty at the University of British Columbia and the Vancouver Academy of Music.  He performs regularly in solo and chamber music recitals and as soloist with the Vancouver and CBC Radio Orchestra.  His CD is entitled The Expressive Oboe.

On a personal note, Roger is married to Carolyn Cole, one of our violinists.
