Festival Soloists: Catherine Emes

Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore (MM); University of Southern California (BM). Presently Catherine is a member of Aradia Ensemble, the Toronto Chamber Orchestra and performs with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. She has served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony and Concertmaster of the New World Symphony, the Illinois Chamber Orchestra and the Spoleto Festival in Charleston and Italy.  She has many published recordings on the Naxos and Argo Decca labels.

• On a personal note, Catherine enjoys racing sailboats, football (especially USC), eating and drinking with friends and a good book on a rainy afternoon.
